Q: What should I wear?
A: Funky formal/garden chic — think colorful dress or linen suit, polished but comfortable for warm weather; dressy sandals or dress shoes recommended. Bolo ties and ruffled dresses welcome!
Q: How do I RSVP?
A: Please RSVP by May 30th via the RSVP form on this website.
Q: What time should I arrive?
A: Please arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony start time so you have time to park and be seated — ceremony begins promptly. If you’re attending the reception only, plan to arrive at the reception start time listed on the schedule.
Q: Are kids invited?
A: We love your little ones, but for this celebration we’re keeping the day adults-only plus nieces, nephews, and cousins. Thank you for understanding.
Q: Will there be a shuttle or transportation between hotels and the venue?
A: As of now there are no transportation arrangements. Rideshares and taxis are also readily available in Bonita, CA, and there will be on-site parking for guests who prefer to drive.
Q: Is there a gift registry?
A: Your presence is the best gift—if you'd like to give something, our registry is in the "Registry" tab on this website, a "MyRegistry" site (https://www.myregistry.com/wedding-registry/sydney-lund-and-jack-kirby-las-cruces-nm/5394466/giftlist) at the bottom of the "Registry" page for other options like Costco and Sam's Club items, and we appreciate contributions toward our honeymoon and house fund. Thank you!
Q: Can I bring a plus-one?
A: Since we are having a backyard wedding, we have limited space. We’ve indicated plus-one eligibility on each invitation. If your invite included a guest, please RSVP for both of you; if it didn’t, we hope you understand space is limited. Feel free to email us with any questions.
Q: What will be served for dinner?
A: We’ll be serving a buffet dinner with options to accommodate common dietary needs. Choices will include a 2 proteins, a salad, seasonal vegetable side, and dessert are included. If you have allergies or specific dietary restrictions, please note them on your RSVP so we can notify the caterer.
Q: Will alcohol be served?
A: Yes — we will have a selection of beer, wine, and 2 specialty cocktails. If you prefer non-alcoholic options, water, soft drinks, and coffee will also be available.
Q: Can I take photos during the ceremony?
A: We kindly ask guests to enjoy an unplugged ceremony; please silence phones and cameras and save photos for the reception. Our photographer will capture the moment for you.
